Actress who played Dr. Alexx Woods on CSI: Miami and also appeared in NewsRadio, ER, and the HBO series Treme .

She debuted as a dancer in the 1985 musical A Chorus Line.

In addition to her television roles, she appeared in films including Menace II Society and There's Something About Mary.

She was born in New York City to Alverina Yavonna and Henry Roland Alexander.

She had a supporting part as Ikette in the Tina Turner biopic What's Love Got To Do With It.
