ABOUT KOEN CASTEELS

Belgian goalkeeper who represented the Belgium national team in the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League. He began his senior career with KRC Genk. In 2015, he joined Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg.

He began his youth career with KAC Betekom in 1996.

An injury prevented him from joining Belgium's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He appeared in all of VfL Wolfsburg's Bundesliga matches for the 2017−18 season. He appeared in an Instagram post on the Bundesliga page for a pass he made during a game. The post has amassed over 20,000 likes.

He is from Bonheiden, Belgium.

He and Jakub Kamiński have played as teammates for VfL Wolfsburg.
