Born Ricardo Brown, he is a rapper and producer mainly known as a former Vice President of Death Row Records. He is also a member of hip hop duo Tha Dogg Pound, alongside Daz Dillinger .

He was raised in Philadelphia and came out of the rap scene from there. He released his first solo album in 1998.

He is a member of the rap supergroup The HRSMN, which features artists such as Killah Priest and Ras Kass .

He is the cousin of rapper Redrum781. He married Gail Gotti in August 2007, but the couple divorced in 2017. He previously had a son named Tren with Natina Reed .

He appeared on Snoop Dogg 's debut album Doggystyle.
