She began her acting career at age eight when she starred in a series of commercials for Nike.
She covered the song "Circle of Life" for the DisneyMania 2 album.
She married Danny Kilpatrick in 2005. She gave birth to her first child, Lyric Kai Kilpatrick, in 2010 and her second, Liyah, in 2013.
She starred in the UPN series One on One, from 2001 to 2006. Ray J also appeared on the show.
