Canadian hockey player known for playing with the Chicago Blackhawks. In October 2021, he identified himself as the "John Doe" in a sexual assault allegation lawsuit against the then-video coach Brad Aldrich during the 2010 Stanley Cup Championship run.

He began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League with the Everett Silvertips in 2005. He was named the WHL Rookie of the Year for the 2006-2007 season. He made his professional debut in the 2008-2009 season with Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

He was picked up by the Chicago Blackhawks as the 11th overall pick in the 2008 NHL draft. He is known for his aggressive play on the ice.

He was born in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. His younger brother Cody Beach is an NHL referee. His cousin Rich Harden is a former Major League Baseball pitcher.
