She began her La Carmina blog in 2007 while she was studying at Yale Law. By the time she had graduated, she was blogging full time.
She has become a successful travel journalist for CNN and Yahoo and an international host for Food Network and Nat Geo. Her real name is Carmen Wong.
Native to Canada, she is of Japanese descent.
