ABOUT LAIA ALEIXANDRI
Spanish professional soccer player who plays defender for FA Women's Super League club Manchester City and Spain's national team. In January 2020, the UEFA named her one of the ten most promising young players in Europe.
She began her youth career in soccer in 2006 in a small Barcelona children's team named Arrabal Calaf. Her senior career began in 2015 when she played on the B-Division Barcelona Women's team.
She scored her first international goal at FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in a match against Cameroon.
She often posts pictures of her family and friends to her Instagram story @laiaaleixandri.
She and Alexia Putellas are both female professional soccer players from Spain.
