While her love of fashion and sketching began in her early childhood, her parents wanted her to be a lawyer. After earning a law degree, she moved to New York City, where she studied fashion and became a stylist.

She was profiled by the Khaleej Times after her collection was seen on catwalks at Arab Fashion Week.

She was born in the Netherlands to a Moroccan family. She married Nadir Khayat, also known as Redone . She has a son.
