Lateef the Truthspeaker

ABOUT LATEEF THE TRUTHSPEAKER

Hip-hop recording artist who has been involved with a number of rap groups including Latyrx, Lateef and the Chief, and The Mighty Underdogs. He was also a founding member of the influential underground collective Solesides.

He made his first feature appearance on the 1994 Blackalicious song "Deep in the Jungle."

In 2011, he released his debut studio album Firewire.

Both of his parents were affiliated with the Black Panther political organization.

He has collaborated with a number of prolific producers including Daniel M. Nakamura , Norman Cook , and DJ Shadow .
