ABOUT LAUREN BREVNER

Multimedia artist who has painted on any hard surface, but specifically woods, using acrylics and oils. She has over 70,000 followers on her laurenbrevner Instagram account.

She couldn't afford art school so she moved to Osaka, Japan to learn her craft under artist Sin Nakayamal in 2009.

She had a group exhibition called Scope Art Fair at the Thinkspace Gallery, Miami, Florida.

She uses her family and Japanese heritage as an inspiration in her art. Her brother was the one who encouraged her to start posting on Instagram.

She and Elly Smallwood are both painters who put their work on Instagram.
