ABOUT LAURENT LAFITTE
French actor, writer, and director known for his starring role in Paul Verhoeven 's 2016 thriller Elle. His first film as director, Dear Mother, was released in 2020. As a prolific theatre actor, he has appeared in stage productions of Much Ado About Nothing, Candide, and Romeo and Juliet.
He studied acting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris.
He hosted the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. He became a sociétaire of the Comédie-Française theatrical troupe in 2012.
