ABOUT LAYLA BUKELE

Daughter of businessman and politician Nayib Bukele , who is famous for serving as the 43rd President of El Salvador.  She has appeared with her parents at official functions. In September 2022, she listened to her father as he addressed the 77th United Nations General Assembly.

Her mother announced her pregnancy with Layla days before her father won the presidential elections.

In September 2019, she was held in her mother's arms at the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Her mother is a dancer, educator and prenatal psychologist named Gabriela Rodriguez de Bukele. Her mother's parents are José Roberto Rodríguez Trabanino and Arena Perezalonso de Rodríguez. Her father's parents are Armando Bukele Kattán and Olga Ortez de Bukele.

She and Jacinda Ardern 's daughter Neve both attended the United Nations General Assembly as infants.
