ABOUT LEANDER DENDONCKER

Professional defensive midfielder who originally signed his first club contract with R.S.C. Anderlecht as a teenager in 2013. A few years later, he signed a multi-year deal with the English Premier League squad Aston Villa in September 2022. He has also played for the Belgian men's national team during his professional career.

He initially began his youth soccer career with FC Passendale. He later joined KSV Roeselare and then R.S.C. Anderlecht.

He was selected to play for the Belgian men's national team during the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. He scored his first career international goal during the 2022 UEFA Nations qualifiers for the tournament.

Growing up, he lived with his parents in Passendale, Belgium. He is one of three brothers. He now lives along with his girlfriend, Anna, and their child.

He has played alongside Kevin De Bruyne as a member of the Belgian men's national team during his professional soccer career.
