ABOUT LEE DIXON
Stage and screen actor who appeared in Broadway productions of Oklahoma! and Higher and Higher. His film credits include The Singing Marine and Varsity Show.
One of his earliest screen roles was in a 1936 movie entitled Gold Diggers of 1937.
He played the Scarecrow in the St. Louis Municipal Opera's production of The Wizard of Oz.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He died in his home city at the young age of thirty-eight.
He co-starred with Alfred Drake in the original Broadway production of Oklahoma!
