ABOUT LEE JUNG-HOO
Professional outfielder who was taken by the Nexen Heroes during the 2017 KBO Draft. Following that season, he was named the KBO Rookie of the Year. Just a few years later, he would be named 'Most Valuable Player' of the KBO in 2022.
He first discovered his passion for baseball as a young boy growing up. At the time, he played in the infield.
He won MVP of the 2019 KBO Playoff Series, which was 26 years after his father, Lee Jong-beom, won the same award in 1993. By doing so, he and his father became the first tandem to achieve this feat in KBO history.
Although he was born in Nagoya, Japan, he grew up living with his family in South Korea. In a profile of his father when Lee Jung-hoo was seven years old, he was already attracting attention for his devotion to baseball and his skill at the game.
He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo just like Todd Frazier , José Bautista , and David Robertson .
