ABOUT LEE SUN-KYUN
South Korean actor who was best recognized for his feature film appearances as well as his recurring television roles. He was best recognized for having starred as Park Dong-ik in the 2019 feature film Parasite as well as in the series Naui Ajusshi in 2018.
He attended the Korean National University of Arts in 1994, earning his degree in the School of Drama. After starring in White Tower and Coffee Prince, he started gaining attention for his performances in 2007.
He was known for having won the Prime Minister's Commendation award at the 2018 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards. He committed suicide at the age of 48, after a blackmail attempt that scarred his public image.
He married fellow actress Jeon Hye-Jin in May of 2009. Together they had two sons.
He sang a duet with fellow actress and performer Kim Yoo-jin in the film Romantic Island in 2008.
