ABOUT LEONARD BASKIN
American sculptor, book-illustrator, wood-engraver and printmaker. He made the Holocaust Memorial in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He founded Gehenna Press, a small private press specializing in producing fine books.
His works are owned by major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Museum of Modern Art.
His parents raised him in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Sylvia Plath dedicated the poem "Sculptor" to him.
