She studied violin in Brussels, Paris, and Leipzig.
She won the 1927 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for Fiddler's Farewell.
She had three daughters with her second husband, Edgar Speyer.
She won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1927, a year after Amy Lowell received the same honor.
