ABOUT LEROY MCGUIRK

Wrestling promoter who worked out of his home state of Oklahoma and was a longtime member of the National Wrestling Alliance.

A swimming accident at a young age made him blind in one eye, but he was still one of the top wrestlers at his college, Oklahoma A&M.

He held the National Wrestling Association World Junior Heavyweight Title for more than ten years (from June, 1939 until December, 1949).

He grew up in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. His father died shortly before his twelfth birthday.
