Best known for portraying Dr. Monica Quartermaine in General Hospital . She appeared in more than 2,000 episodes of the television series throughout her long and prolific career.

She made her television debut in 1965, playing Pam on A Flame in the Wind.

She appeared in television commercials for products such as Pearl Drops toothpaste and Cover Girl Cosmetics. In the 1970s, she appeared in multiple episodes of the series Cannon.

She married Bill Demms in 1988, but the couple divorced in 1991.

She gave Ron Howard 's character on Happy Days his first kiss.
