Lisa McGee

ABOUT LISA MCGEE

Award-winning television writer best known for her work on the comedy series Derry Girls . She is also recognized for her work on the shows Raw and The Deceived. She has received credits as a show producer.

Prior to her career in the television and film industry, she attended Thornhill College in Derry, Northern Ireland. She later enrolled at Queen's University Belfast.

She has received multiple awards for screenwriting since the start of her career in 2012. At the 2018 British Screenwriters' Awards ceremony, she received an award for Best Comedy Writing on Television for her work on Derry Girls.

Growing up, she lived with her family in Derry, Northern Ireland. She is married to English writer and actor Tobias Beer.

She worked alongside Louisa Harland in the comedy series Derry Girls.
