Mexican singer, actress, and television presenter who was known for her interpretation of the songs "Cucurrucucu Paloma" and "Paloma Negra." The latter of those two track has earned over 22 million streams on Spotify.
She worked as a secretary at Mexico's radio station XEW.
She was honored in 1995 after the release of a series of commemorative postage stamps featuring her as a popular idol of radio. As an actress, she appeared in more than 30 credits throughout her prolific career.
She married filmmaker Alfred Leal, and they had two children.
She performed in concert in front of President Charles de Gaulle of France.
