ABOUT LOUDON WAINWRIGHT III
Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter who mixed humor and music in "Dead Skunk (in the Middle of the Road)."
He loved playing the guitar as a child, but he also loved yoga. He comes from a family of professionals, including his ancestor Peter Stuyvesant, the last director general of New Netherlands.
He once sold his guitar for yoga lessons while living in San Francisco.
He married Kate McGarrigle in 1971 and divorced her in 1977.
He is the father of Martha and Rufus Wainwright .
