Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 21st round of the 2008 MLB Draft. After signing with the New York Yankees during the 2021 off-season on a minor league contract, he was later called up to the big league team during the regular season.

He graduated from Bellville High School before later enrolling at Rice University. .

As a member of the Seattle Mariners during the 2012 MLB season he combined to pitch a no-hitter against the Los Angeles Angels on June 8th.

He is a native of Brenham, Texas.

He played alongside Gerrit Cole and Tyler Wade as a member of the Yankees during the 2021 MLB season.
