ABOUT LUCY DACUS
American indie rock/folk singer-songwriter and producer who rose to fame on the back of her 2016 debut album, No Burden. The album's success led to various festivals, television, and radio appearances. She subsequently released the critically acclaimed albums Historian in 2018 and Home Video in 2021.
She bought her first guitar while in middle school.
She has performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert . She posts photos and videos of herself performing on her lucydacus Instagram account, which has amassed over 650,000 followers.
She was adopted as an infant. Her adoptive father works as a graphic designer and her adoptive mother is a music teacher and professional pianist. She confirmed her relationship with Boygenius bandmate Julien Baker in March 2025.
She collaborated with Hamilton Leithauser on his 2020 single "Isabella."
