ABOUT LUCY WYNDHAM-READ

Fitness expert and author as well as YouTube trainer who publishes health, nutrition and fitness videos to her self-titled channel. Some of her published books include HIIT: High-Intensity Interval Training, The Women's Fitness Book, Walk Slim and The No-Gym Workout.

She joined the British Army when she was 19 years old following in the footsteps of her fiance at the time, Mike Lee, her childhood sweetheart. She was discharged in 1994 and found work as a trainer in a women's gym.

In addition to her fitness books, she has authored children's stories as part of her Adventures in Luniper Land series called The Fairies' Treasure Hunt, The Fairies' Picnic, The Fairies' Birthday Party, The Fairies' Halloween Party and The Fairies' Rainy Day.

Three years into her Army life, her parents broke the news to her that her fiance Mike had been tragically killed by friendly fire in a game of Russian roulette.

She and Carly Rowena are both fitness trainers who publish videos about their fitness knowledge to YouTube.
