ABOUT LUIS MEDINA

Right-handed pitcher that was first signed by the New York Yankees as an international prospect in 2015. He was later acquired by the Oakland Athletics via trade in August 2022.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Yankees rookie affiliate team. He was later sent to the Pulaski Yankees.

He was selected to represent the New York Yankees organization during the 2021 All-Star Futures Game at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. During the 2021 minor league season, he recorded career-highs in innings pitched and strikeouts.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Nagua, Dominican Republic.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Frankie Montas .
