Luis Rubiales

ABOUT LUIS RUBIALES

Former men's defender that played soccer professionally for 12 years. During his 12-year career, he primarily played soccer in leagues across Spain and Scotland. In May 2018, he was elected to be president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

As a kid, he played for Motril CF, Valencia CF, and Atlético Madrid . He later began his professional club career with Guadix CF in 1997.

While playing with Levante UD, he and his teammates won the 2003-04 Segunda División league title. After achieving this feat, Levante UD was promoted to the Spanish La Liga.

Prior to their divorce, he and his wife, Manuela Delicado Vega, were married for multiple years. Together, they have three children.

He selected Luis de la Fuente to be head manager of the Spanish men's national team.
