ABOUT LUIZ FERNANDO GUIMARãES

Brazilian comedic and dramatic actor who has starred in dozens of films and shows, but is best known for his role as Rui in the telenovela Normal People. He first gained popularity for playing Miro on the telenovela Vereda Tropical in 1984. In 2018, he signed on to play Amadeu Baroni on the Central Globo series Time To Not.

He worked as a banker before becoming an actor. His first acting role was almost an accident - as a favor, he replaced a friend in the play The Inspector General in 1974.

He garnered national attention in the 80's for starring in a series of banking commercials.

He married Adriano Medeiros in 2004. In 2015, he officially came out as gay.
