Defenseman who made his NHL debut in 2001 for the Florida Panthers, later joining the Vancouver Canucks in 2006.

He played for the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League.

He represented the Czech Republic at the World Championships, winning a silver medal in 2006.

He was born in Prostejov, Czech Republic.

Goaltender Roberto Luongo was his teammate on the Panthers.
