Stage and screen actress who debuted on Broadway in a 1931 production of You Said It and subsequently appeared in numerous Hollywood films, including Million Dollar Legs, The Big Broadcast of 1936, and Pick a Star.
As a young girl, she worked as both a trapeze artist and a vaudeville performer.
She appeared in a 1933 Gershwin musical entitled Pardon My English.
She was the Polish-born daughter of a circus clown. She moved to the United States in the 1920s; she married Bud Ernest in 1935.
She starred with Jack Oakie in the 1932 film Million Dollar Legs.
