ABOUT LYNDA BARON
British actress who played the role of Nurse Gladys Emmanuel in the BBC comedy Open All Hours from 1976 to 1985. She amassed over 70 credits in her lengthy career. While mostly appearing in TV shows, she also acted in the occasional movie.
She was trained as a dancer at the Royal Academy of Dance.
She performed the song A Hard Man Is Good to Find! on Richard Kates' 2012 album, There's Something About You. She appeared in the 1987 Christmas special called The Two Ronnies.
She married John M. Lee in 1966, and they have two children named Sarah and Morgan.
She co-starred with Orlando Bloom in a 2007 stage version of In Celebration.
