She attended the Cal Poly State University, graduating with a degree in kinesiology in 2014.

She was chosen during the initial blind audition phase of The Voice by pop singer Gwen Stefani . She served as a member of Gwen's team in 2015.

She was born and raised in Vacaville, California.

She performed a cover of Meghan Trainor 's "Lips Are Movin" that got all four coaches to turn their seats during her blind audition.
