ABOUT MACK MCLARTY

From 1993 until 1994, this Arkansas Democrat served as then-President Bill Clinton 's White House Chief of Staff.

After completing his education at the University of Arkansas, he worked for his family's tractor-trailer rentals company and served briefly in the Arkansas House of Representatives.

He chaired the Arkansas State Democratic Party from 1974 until 1976.

His marriage to Donna Cochran resulted in sons named Mark and Franklin.

McLarty and Bill Clinton were in the same kindergarten class in Hope, Arkansas.
