ABOUT MAGGIE ROGERS
Folk singer, songwriter and banjo player whose song "Alaska" went viral. Her follow up single was called "Dog Years." She was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2019.
She began playing the harp at the age of 7. In high school, she wrote folk albums called The Echo and Blood Ballet.
She discovered a passion for electronic music while studying abroad in France. She attended New York University and majored in music engineering and production and English.
She grew up in a small, rural town in Maryland.
Her song "Alaska" went viral after she played it for Pharrell Williams .
