Singer, songwriter, and actress who gained fame for her single "Sober" in 2017. She also played Thea in Noel Clarke 's 2016 film Brotherhood. She is also the founder of Mahalia Presents, a night showcasing new and upcoming talent.
She began writing songs and playing guitar at an early age and signed to a major record label at the age of 13.
She opened shows for Ed Sheeran and toured with Emeli Sande . She collaborated with the clothing brand New Look in 2022.
Her brother Jamaal Burkmar worked as a choreographer.
She featured composer Jacob Collier in an Instagram post promoting their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January 2021.
