ABOUT MARíA DEL CARMEN GARCíA GALISTEO
Spanish actress and singer who was best known for her roles in the critically acclaimed films Vengeance and Buscando a Monica. She was also known for having played Octavia in the English-language film Antony and Cleopatra in 1972.
She made her acting debut in 1949 when she appeared as Carmelilla in the film The Guitar of Gardel. She gained further attention in 1956 when she starred as Catalina de Martos y Ribera in the feature film La Fierecilla Domada.
She won the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts from the Kingdom of Spain in December of 2003.
She was born and raised in Seville, Spain. She married Vicente Patuel in 1985.
She starred alongside Jeffrey Hunter and Viveca Lindfors in the 1961 historical drama King of Kings.
