Maral Rahmanzadeh
ABOUT MARAL RAHMANZADEH
Twentieth-century graphic artist who was named a People's Artist of Azerbaijan in 1964. She created a series of patriotic paintings depicting the wartime efforts of Soviet women.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Technical School of Arts and later at the Moscow State Institute of Arts.
She painted two portraits of poet Khatai.
She was raised in the large city of Baku, Azerbaijan.
She and Azim Azimzade were both recipients of the prestigious People's Artist of Azerbaijan honor.
