British actress best recognized for portraying Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in Netflix's The Crown . She has made appearances in other popular television series such as Sherlock and Midsomer Murders.
She graduated from London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1963.
In 1985, she received the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Stepping Out.
