ABOUT MARCUS RENO

Union Army Brevet Brigadier General who is remembered for making controversial decisions leading to an infamous defeat for the United States military at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.

He attended West Point from 1851 until 1857 and soon after brevetted second lieutenant, 1st Dragoons.

He fought in the Indian Wars and the American Civil War.

He was reportedly an ancestor of Phillippe Francois Renault.

Ty Hardin portrayed him in the film Custer of the West.
