ABOUT MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI

Italian fashion designer who worked at fashion houses including Fendi, Valentino and Dior. In July 2016, she was appointed the creative director of Dior. While at Fendi, she helped develop the famous Baguette bag. Her designs have been worn by celebrities including Natalie Portman , Anya Taylor-Joy and Zoey Deutch .

She studied at IED, Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.

In 2013, she and Pierpaolo Piccioli authored a book titled Valentino: Objects of Couture. In 2016, she debuted her first collection for Dior in Paris. The show featured a t-shirt with the title of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie 's essay We Should All Be Feminists. In 2021, she published a book titled Her Dior: Maria Grazia Chiuri's New Voice.

Her father was in the military and her mother was a dressmaker. She married Paolo Regini. She has a son named Niccolò and a daughter named Rachele.

As creative director of Dior, she followed designers like Yves Saint Laurent and John Galliano .
