She played volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school.

She used her WWE success to appear in Playboy and release a rock album, Seven Sins, in 2010.

She has two siblings, Janny Kanellis and Bill Kanellis. She married wrestler Mike Bennett in 2014; they welcomed a daughter named Freddie Moon in April of 2018. They welcomed a son named Carver Mars in 2020. In June 2025, they announced they were expecting a third child.

She shared the ring with Snoop Dogg at WrestleMania XXIV.
