ABOUT MARIJAN TREPSE
Expressionist painter and graphic artist who belonged to a prominent artistic group known as The Prague Four.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague where he was taught by Max Švabinský. He also studied in Paris from 1920 until 1922 at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière.
He was a set designer for the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb for over thirty years.
He was born in Zagreb.
He and Vilko Gecan were both members of The Prague Four.
