Broadway star of the 1920s and '30s whose numerous stage credits include roles in Sally, Peter Pan, and Rosalie.
As a child, she performed with The Five Columbians, her family's Ohio-based vaudeville act.
She rose to Broadway fame after performing in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1918.
She married third husband Chester Lee O'Brien in 1934.
She was portrayed by Judy Garland in a 1946 film entitled Till the Clouds Roll By.
