Greatly successful Croatian boxer who won multiple EABA gold medals, AIBA gold medals and Croatian National Championships.

He accumulated an amateur record of 45-5 before turning professional in 2003.

He was taken to the hospital after collapsing during a fight against Maksym Pedyura on June 27, 2009.

His father Zeljko was a cab driver.

He signed a contract with infamous boxing promoter Don King at age 19.
