Marion Rushing

ABOUT MARION RUSHING

Linebacker who played professionally from 1959-1968, for the NFL's Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons, and for the AFL's Houston Oilers.

He attended Southern Illinois University, where he starred on the football, basketball, wrestling, and track teams.

He was part of the Atlanta Falcons inaugural team in 1966.

He was born, and died, in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

He is one of Southern Illinois' most notable football players, along with actor Richard Roundtree .
