ABOUT MARK BEYER
Acclaimed cartoonist who many came to recognize for his dark themes, including death, depression, and mutilation. He self-published books like A Disturbing Evening and Other Stories in 1978 and Dead Stories in 1982.
He self-published his first book at age 28.
He preferred to work alone, though did collaborate on rare occasions.
He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
One of his collaborations included working with popular graphic artist Alan Moore .
