Lead singer and bassist for the jazzfunk and pop rock band Level 42. In 2017 he started a side project called Gizmodrome. He has also pursued a solo career, releasing work like the album One Man.
He was a milkman at age seventeen.
His song "Love Games" with Level 42 made it to the Top 40.
He married Ria King and has a daughter named Marlee King.
He performed with Eric Clapton in 1986.
