ABOUT MARK MATHIAS

Professional infielder that was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians during the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft. He was later acquired by the Texas Rangers via trade in August 2022. He has also played in the Milwaukee Brewers minor league system during his career.

Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at California Polytechnic State University . While in school, he was selected to play for the 2014 USA Collegiate National Team.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Chicago White Sox on August 4, 2020 as a member of the Brewers. The very next day, he recorded his first MLB hit.

He grew up living with his family in Santa Clara, California. He is one of four siblings.

He credits Derek Jeter as being one of his biggest baseball influences growing up.
