Marlene Hagge
ABOUT MARLENE HAGGE
Former LPGA golfer who competed professionally on tour for just over 46 years before retiring in 1996. She is best known for being a co-creator of the Women's LGPA tour. In 1949, she was named the AP Female Athlete of the Year.
She initially began playing golf as a young girl at the age of three. Just ten years later, she won the National Junior Championships at the age of thirteen.
Since beginning her professional golfing career at the age of 15, she would go on to win 26 events during her career. She was eventually inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2002.
She grew up living with her family in Eureka, South Dakota. She lived along with her husband, Ernie Vossler, until his death in 2013.
She is a former LGPA golfer just like Paige Spiranac .
